GPFA Appoints Two New Directors

February 10, 2006, New York, NY – The Global Partnership for Afghanistan appointed two new members to its Board of Directors, James D. Seymour, a Senior Advisor of Commonfund Capital, and Rajiv Singh, the Director of Global Markets for Deutsche Bank AG.

"Jim Seymour and Rajv Singh bring significant added capacity and perspective to our board," said Dana Freyer, GPFA Co-Chair. "Mr. Seymour and Mr. Singh have not only essential experience in nonprofit boards, but also deep knowledge in international business and developing markets. As GPFA helps farmers build sustainable farm-based businesses, the talents of these new board members are valuable additions to our team."

James Seymour is a Senior Advisor of Commonfund Capital, a nonprofit investment management company for nonprofit educational institutions, libraries, museums, hospitals and private foundations. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Africa Emerging Markets Fund, a public securities fund managed by Emerging Markets Management in Arlington, VA. He also worked for Bankers Trust Company in Bahrain, the Philippines, Taiwan, Istanbul and London. Mr. Seymour holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Rajiv Singh is the Director of Global Markets for Deutsche Bank AG in New York City, where he is a member of the Structured Capital Markets Group. He has also worked at Credit Suisse First Boston, Merrill Lynch & Co. and United Technologies Corporation in Paris. He is an Advisor to the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage organization and a contributor to Down to Earth, the journal of the Centre for Science and Environment. Mr. Singh holds Master and Bachelor of Technology degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
